Why Conser Trees

Three things that make the difference in the ground.

  • One species, done right

We grow live oaks. Only live oaks, and only to Florida Grades & Standards #1. Thirty-plus years on a single species is why our trees look the same in the ground as they did in the row.

  • Twelve-foot spacing

Most growers plant tight to get more trees per acre. We give every tree twelve feet, which is why a Conser oak arrives with a wide, well-furnished head instead of a tall, narrow one.

  • Family-run, low overhead

Five paid-for farms, a family operation since 2017, and no sales floor to carry. Stadium-grade trees at prices that leave room in the budget — and on this site, published.

The 12-foot difference

You are buying canopy, not caliper.

Caliper is how a tree is priced. Canopy is what anyone actually notices. Planting on twelve-foot centres costs us trees per acre and buys you a head that spreads rather than stretches — the reason our 6" trees are the ones people come back for.

  • Wider, better-furnished heads
  • Stronger scaffold branch structure
  • Full sun on every side of the tree
Tree spacing comparisonTwo rows of live oaks drawn to the same scale. The upper row shows typical nursery spacing of six to eight feet between trunks, producing narrow, crowded canopies. The lower row shows Conser Trees planting at twelve-foot centres, where each tree has room to build a canopy roughly seventy percent wider.TYPICAL TIGHT SPACING6–8 ft centresCONSER TREES12 ft centres
Drawn to scale. Wider spacing means fewer trees per acre — and a canopy that spreads instead of stretching. It is why a Conser 6" reads bigger than a 6" grown shoulder-to-shoulder.
